Non-governmental organisations (NGOs) have grown in importance and significance over the last couple of decades as governments have reduced their commitment to the provision and funding of cultural, public and social goods.

This has left a gap in the provision of services that go towards creating a fair and just society. NGOs bridge this gap.

Entry requirements

We look for passionate and committed students, and encourage applications from students with a variety of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. Every application to LCIBS is considered very carefully on its individual merits.

We have two routes of entry:
  1. UCAS tariff points: Typical entry – 60 UCAS points and an Admissions Workshop. Even if you have or are predicted to get those grades, we will still invite you to attend an Admissions Workshop. We want to find out more about you and make sure the course you’ve chosen is right for you. Just as importantly, it’s also a chance for you to find out more about us.

We also welcome applications from students who have studied (or are studying) the International Baccalaureate, Access to Higher Education diplomas, Higher National qualifications, BTECs, Scottish Highers, Cambridge Pre-U, Welsh Baccalaureate and equivalent non-UK qualification. You can calculate your UCAS points by visiting:
  2. Work experience: We welcome applications from students who have relevant work experience. Work experience can be used to partly or fully meet our entry criteria. Our Admissions Team are happy to advise you on required criteria:

English language requirements:

If your first language is not English you may need to complete an English language test, such as International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or a Pearson English language test (PTE Academic), to demonstrate you have the language skills needed to complete your degree. All our courses are taught in English.
