Thriving under Pressure

red dots

Tight deadlines. Asking for feedback. Tense disagreements. Do you thrive under pressure? How do successful people thrive under pressure? Responding with resilience under pressure is not only important but necessary in order to succeed. The higher the stakes, the more pressure we feel - and depending on your reaction, a sense of pressure can either enhance or hurt your performance. The good news is that anyone can learn how to rise to the occasion when it matters most.

Course

Overview

This programme draws on the Ashridge Business School’s 20 years of experience exploring the key behaviours (positive and negative) of professional sportspeople. Through interactive and challenging learning, the programme will help managers develop approaches to optimise performance, resilience and engagement, whilst reducing the risks of stress and burnout. The course follows a learning methodology that has been successful in other organisations where there is a high (perceived) degree of performance pressure and workload. It helps participants develop their own style of leadership by having greater self-awareness and being mindful of the impact of their behaviour on others. The use of Heart Rate Variance monitors during the programme is an effective tool for participants to be able to understand when they are under stress and how well they cope.
